Bead Wire

Bead wire is a tough alternative to cord and waxed thread. It holds heavy beads and maintains its shape without sagging too much.  The wire can also be bent to create pendants out of beads or for 3D bead sculptures.

Bead wire is good for those who may be a little rough with their jewelry. The wire resists snapping and can take the weight of heavy stone beads. The only disadvantage of wire is that it can sometimes crimp.

Bead wire is what Asian bead workers use for their bead sculptures. The wire is carefully bent or curved while beads are stung to create figurines with three dimensional shapes. Flowers are popular bead sculptures made with wire.
